Since opening in February 2016, Cam Spice in Great Eversden has been a hub of the community. The restaurant sponsors local sports teams, schools and churches.
The Cam Spice restaurant also doubles up as a local pub. The restaurant was formerly known as The Hoops Tandoori, before it was taken over by Jakir in 2016.
“Cam Spice will always be known as The Hoops, because that’s what it was for so long,” said Mr Chowdhury.
Cam Spice hit the headlines on 30th September 2018 at inaugural Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) winning Best Restaurant & Takeaway in East Anglia.
